Nestled in the heart of Tuscany is a little town called Montepulciano and it’s impossible not to fall in love. Toby and David owners of Fonte Martino Guest House & Estate in Montepulciano, Italy (Tuscany) made me feel right at home in their quaint, yet gorgeous property. Previously living in the United States, they followed their dream to create a boutique bed and breakfast in Italy, which opened in 2019, 7 months before the pandemic.

The B&B consists of 3 beautiful suites located in the countryside, just 5 minutes from the city center of Montepulciano and boast incredible panoramic views of town. The duo designed the suites to offer a modern and luxurious experience, not offered in this area.

The property has been featured on HGTV’s House Hunters International and won multiple awards in just 2 years. They are named one of the Top 10 Luxury Accommodations in Montepulciano by TravelMyth and received the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards for 2020 and 2021, as one of the top 10% accommodations world-wide. They have also been named Best Guest House in Tuscany by the Travel and Hospitality Awards.

Montepulciano is not your common Tuscan hilltop town. There is an amazing music, theater, and arts scene that include a 2-week international festival each July. There are numerous opera and music schools and an internationally recognized Italian language school. Montepulciano is located in the heart of Tuscan wine-country and has numerous festivals and celebrations that center around wine. As for dining, I was amazed at the incredible restaurants this town has. The most difficult decision is which to choose, with a number of Michelin rated restaurants. My top picks were:

L’Altro Cantuccio (LINK)

Porta di Bacco (LINK)

Le Logge del Vignola (LINK)

Il Pozzo (LINK)

This amazing couple even made us breakfast in the morning with a choice of sweets, pastries and freshly squeezed juices. For more information, please visit https://www.fontemartino.com/
