As the only pet business in the area that makes human-grade gourmet pet treats from scratch via Doordash, Black bi female founder Twila’s pawesome business is 8a, Hudson, & SEBD certified. Twila has an occupational license in pet care.

Twila’s career journey began after a terrible experience boarding her cats. The ‘aha’ moment for launching an in-home pet care business made sense since furkids are more comfortable at home. She sought a flexible career she was passionate about and after her partner survived a brain aneurysm and amputations, she decided to go full speed ahead with her idea.

NOLAs Finest Pet Care LLC assists pet parents give furkids the best quality care possible including overall health, attention, exercise, and playtime to behave better and increase their lifespan.

Twila says, “The average pet parent gives 1–2 treats per day or 30–60 treats per month, equivalent to giving your toddler 30 slices of cake per month, which is why it’s so important to know what’s in your pet’s treats. No pet parent would purposely decline their pet’s lifespan. While my pet swag does include products for pets to be stylish, my line also serves as a way for pet parents to treat themselves with quality home décor, and clothing that’s New Orleans- inspired and painted/sketched by me.”
